The proposal “The Morrona, universal Andalusian” consists of two clearly different parts. The first will deal with an action, a performance act, radically opposed to the actions of artists defining earth within the context of localized art within time. The meaning of a specific site is made visible via the performance.
The first step consists of beginning a journey to meet the others. Here the difference between here and there manifests itself in its purest form.
Airports, souvenir shops or places contaminated by tourism can be used as scenery. These crossroads where meaning loses density, normally referred to as “non-places”, are the locus for loneliness.
A Spanish man wearing a flamenco costume, travelled around the world, preferably to countries with a strong migration flow, handing out the calling card of Andalusia and the Andalusian, its topics and its fetishes.
In the second part of this project, that what is being offered is the participation of the person interested in the creation and development of this project.
For this the participant will be given an appointment in a specific location in the world, on a particular day and with a specific theme that will be related to the chosen location culminating in a profound exchange on the themes that are proposed in this project.
Summarizing, what is being offered here is the possibility to have a personal meeting accumulating in an in-depth conversation on a specific theme with a Spanish artist travelling around the world wearing a flamenco costume.

1. Travel, colonialism and modernity.
2. Exotics, a view on tourism from the outskirts of Europe.
3. Territorial symbols and cultural cartography.
4. The other as object of reflection.
5. Globalization and transformation of migratory movements.
6. International perception of Spain and the Spanish. Blood, bulls and folklore.

Het eerste gaat over een actie, een uitvoerende handeling, een radicaal tegengestelde van de acties van kunstenaars die de aarde definiëren binnen de context van gelokaliseerde kunst binnen tijd. De betekenis van een specifieke locatie werd zichtbaar gemaakt via de uitvoering.

- Maar, meneer Fogg, tachtig dagen zijn slechts een schatting van de kortst mogelijke tijd waarin de reis kan worden gemaakt.

De eerste stap bestaat uit het beginnen aan een reis om de anderen te ontmoeten. Hier manifesteert het verschil tussen hier en daar zich in zijn zuiverste vorm.
Luchthavens, souvenirwinkels of plaatsen besmet door toerisme kunnen worden gebruikt als plaats van handeling. Dit kruispunt van wegen waar betekenis dichtheid verliest, normaal “non-plaatsen” genoemd, is de plaats voor eenzaamheid.
Een Spaanse man die flamenco-kleding draagt, rond de wereld reist, bij voorkeur naar landen met een sterke migratiestroom, het visitekaartje van Andalusië en de Andalusische bevolking uitdeelt, met de belangrijkste onderwerpen en fetisjen.
In het tweede gedeelte van dit project, is dat wat wordt aangeboden, de participatie van de persoon die geïnteresseerd is in de creatie en ontwikkeling van dit project.
Hiervoor zal de deelnemer een afspraak worden gegeven op een specifieke plaats op de wereld, op een concrete dag en over een specifiek thema dat verband zal houden met de gekozen plaats, wat uitmondt in een diep gesprek over de thema's die in dit project worden voorgesteld.
Samenvattend, wat hier wordt aangeboden is de mogelijkheid een persoonlijke ontmoeting te hebben die uitmondt in een diep gesprek over een specifiek thema met een Spaanse kunstenaar die rond de wereld reist gehuld in flamenco-kleding.
